About Mariana
Mariana is the founding editor of Wine Independent Press, the first media specialized in wines from Chile and South America financed by its readers in search of transparency and editorial independence. With Sommelier and WSET 3 certifications, she has been teaching at the Sommelier School of Chile for a decade.
In order to unite producers from Argentina and Chile, together with the Mendoza journalist Enrique Chrabolowsky, for more than 14 years she organized the tastings “Wines of the Cordillera”. Always innovating, she created the #BarradeVinos and experiences #TravesiadelViñedoalaCopa. In 2021 she studied the Diploma of Oenology and Viticulture at the University of Chile, and in July 2022 the Ampelography course organized by OIV in the city of Montpellier.
She is currently a member of the Circle of Gastronomic and Wine Chroniclers of Chile, of the Association of Sommeliers of Chile and, since December 2014, she is a member of the Brotherhood of Wine Merit of Chile, and since 2019 of MUV (Association of Women of Wine of Chile).
