ANNE RICHTER ARNOLD

Anne first became intrigued with wine during her travels to Europe, especially to France, Germany, and Portugal. The different local wines, long history of viticulture, varied growing techniques and wine making styles all fascinated her. As a professional writer and journalist, she decided to put her skills to work as a wine blogger, educator, and consultant

Her goal, as an educator and writer, is to make wine accessible and enjoyable for everyone, no matter your prior knowledge or experience with wine. Her training includes:

Anne was recently acknowledged by the Wine Scholar Guild as a top scorer on their French Wine Scholar exam (98%), the Spanish Wine Scholar exam and the Champagne Master Level Exam, as well as the Certified Sherry wine Expert course..

MONA ELYAFI

CHAMPAGNE MASTER  |  EDUCATOR  |  BLOGGER

Mona holds a Wine and SpMona Elyafi is the founder and CEO of ILDK Media, a boutique Entertainment Public Relations Company with expertise in Global Women Empowerment communications campaigns, LGBTQ+ strategies, and Special Events PR. Staying at the forefront of change, Elyafi has been instrumental in making LGBTQ+ agendas move into mainstream culture.

 

Elyafi is a WSG Champangen Master with Highest Honors and completed with honors the Comité Champagne MOOC certification. A Champagne history fiend, she is the host and creator of the Youtube series “Locked up and Uncorked”, created at the onset of the pandemic. She also holds a Wine and Spirit Trust Level 2 Certificate in Wine.

Elyafi is a former Huffington Post blogger and a reporter for the now defunct Diva Magazine (penning entertainment articles & celebrity interviews).

She was born in Beirut, Lebanon and grew up in Paris, France. She attended NYU where she earned a Master’s Degree in Journalism. She currently resides in North Carolina with her spouse .

MAGGIE SUTHERLAND

SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR | SALES AND MARKETING

With a lifelong passion for amazing food and memorable dining experiences, it only felt natural for Maggie to take a step beyond the basic level of wine knowledge and learn about a beverage that would enhance the experience even more! A big fan of From the Vine to Wine classes since the very beginning, Maggie has always really enjoyed Anne’s approach to wine education.

When the opportunity presented itself to pursue her interest even further by taking the WSET Level 2 class with Anne in the spring of 2022, she immediately jumped at the opportunity!

Maggie holds a WSET Level 2 Certificate in Wine with Merit (2022). Now, as an event assistant and social media manager with From the Vine to Wine, Maggie is excited to work alongside her mentor and friend, Anne, to deliver more memorable wine experiences to our community—in person and through social media!

When she’s not enjoying time the wine world, you can find Maggie celebrating the Seacoast with her lifestyle blog, Seacost Lately, or out and about the Seacoast—spending time with friends and family, frequenting local businesses, and being active outside!
